The Chevrolet Tracker (创酷) in China is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by SAIC-GM for the Chinese market.

Overview

The Chevrolet Tracker in the Chinese market was revealed in 2019 alongside the Trailblazer. The Chinese market Tracker was designed to replace the Chevrolet Trax in China, and shares the same Chinese name as the Chevrolet Trax. On the side note, the Chevrolet Trax was also called the Tracker in several other markets.

Despite the use of the Tracker name, the Chinese market Tracker is not related to the Chevrolet Tracker sold in North America as a rebadged Suzuki Escudo from the 1990s to the 2000s.

The GEM platform which the Chinese market Tracker was built on was designed for developing automotive markets including China, Latin America and Southeast Asia. The Chevrolet Tracker launched in China in 2019 is one of the vehicles with the GEM platform and is therefore not intended for the US and Canada.

Engines

The Chinese market Tracker is available with a 3-cylinder 1.0 turbo engine producing 84 kW and a 3-cylinder 1.3 turbo engine producing 121 kW.
