The Escobar Fold 1 is an Android-based foldable smartphone developed by Escobar Inc. Unveiled on December 2, 2019[6] on the 26th year anniversary of Pablo Escobar's death.[7] The device is capable of being folded open to expose a 7.8-inch tablet-sized flexible display.
Specifications
The Escobar Fold 1 ships with Android 9.0 "Pie".[8] Retail pricing starts at $349 for the 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM version.[9]Designed with a golden-colored body, the foldable smartphone runs features a single folding AMOLED display, comes with a 4,000 mAh and with a 16MP and 20MP dual-camera on its inner bezel. Aside from that, the phone also comes with a dual-sim setup, and features a fingerprint sensor.[10][11]
Controversy
The Escobar Fold 1 and Escobar Inc was banned from appearing at the 2020 CES event after the Consumer Technology Association, which runs CES, determined that the company was "not a good fit" for the show.[12]
