Software:View 3D

From HandWiki

Template:Infobox Windows component View 3D was a minimalist 3D object viewer that was first included in Windows 10’s Creators Update and was replaced by Mixed Reality Viewer in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. It supported the .fbx, .3mf, .obj, and .stl file formats. Unlike Photos, which allows users to view an entire gallery at once and to open individual photos in new windows, View 3D only supported a single window and only shows one 3D file at a time in the window. Opening a new object closed the current object.[1]

The file is automatically spun latitudinally when it is first opened, and it can be manually spun in all directions. The background is shaded in gray in a manner that emulates a light source.

Inside the View 3D window, a file can be posted to Microsoft’s Remix3D.com, opened in Paint 3D, and 3D printed with 3D Builder.[2]

It was replaced with Mixed Reality Viewer.
