Amberol is a music player written in Rust[1] for the GNOME desktop environment. It is developed by Emmanuele Bassi, and described as "a music player with no delusions of grandeur".[2] It only plays music files locally on your computer, not from music streaming services. The application is a part of the GNOME Circle program.[3] It is inspired by the now discontinued Muine music player.[4]. Amberol supports most mainstream audio formats. It displays audio metadata, time passed and time remaining and MPRIS integration.
