The Simplex Messaging Protocol (SMP) is designed focused on security and privacy. It enables data and metadata privacy by default, it uses multiple simplex queues as its basis. It's designed in a decentralized client-server network topology. Messages have forward secrecy and go through one or more server nodes. Its main difference to other known protocols is having no user identifiers.[1][2][3][4][5] There is a planned security audit by an independent auditor.[6]
