Open Dots is a specification [1]for conductive wireless power technology for charging devices.[2] It is overseen by the Open Dots Alliance, a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization formed by JVIS USA, LLC, based in Shelby, Michigan.[3]

In May 2015, the alliance stated that the Open Dots standard was used in 12 vehicle models across five major automotive brands – Ford, Chrysler, RAM, Dodge, and Scion. Phone case maker Incipio was also mentioned as making compatible products.[4]
