BD-08°2823 is a 9.86 magnitude K-type main sequence star located approximately 135 light years away in the constellation Sextans. This star is smaller, cooler, fainter, and less massive than the Sun. Also its metal content is six-sevenths as much as the Sun. In 2009, two gas giant planets were found in orbit around the star.
