Cheonhyehyang is a new variety of high quality citrus grown in Seogwipo area of Jeju Island. In 1984, Cheonhyehyang was made by crossbreeding Citrus Kiyomi and Encore and then crossbreeding again with Murcott in Japan. Cheonhyehyang is a newly named variety cultivated in Seogwipo area of Jeju Island. Cheonhyehyang, called the scent of the sky, has a much higher sugar content than the ordinary citrus fruits, has a very rich juice, and has a gentle aroma.[1]
