Sporohalobacter are a genus of anaerobic bacteria belonging to the family Haloanaerobiaceae.[1] The organisms are spore-forming bacteria that grow in hypersaline environments.[2]

Phylogeny

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN)[3] and the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).[4]
