Allobacillus is a Gram-positive and aerobic genus of bacteria from the family of Bacillaceae with one known species (Allobacillus halotolerans).[1][2][3][4] Allobacillus halotolerans has been isolated from shrimp paste.[4]

Phylogeny

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN)[1] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).[5]
