- S-acylglutathione + H2O glutathione + a carboxylate
This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases, specifically those acting on thioester bonds. The systematic name is S-acylglutathione hydrolase. It is also called citryl-glutathione thioesterhydrolase.
