Short description: Wikipedia key to pronunciation
This is the pronunciation key for IPA transcriptions of Albanian on Wikipedia. It provides a set of symbols to represent the pronunciation of Albanian in Wikipedia articles, and example words that illustrate the sounds that correspond to them. Integrity must be maintained between the key and the transcriptions that link here; do not change any symbol or its value without establishing consensus on the talk page first. |
The charts below show the way in which the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) represents Albanian pronunciations in Wikipedia articles. For a guide to adding IPA characters to Wikipedia articles, see {{IPA-sq}} and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Pronunciation § Entering IPA characters.

Notes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 The contrast between flapped r and trilled rr is the same as in Spanish. English does not phonemically have either sound.
- ↑ The letter ⟨ç⟩ is sometimes written ⟨ch⟩ due to technical limitations because of its use in English for the same sound and its analogy to the other digraphs ⟨xh⟩, ⟨sh⟩, and ⟨zh⟩. Usually, it is written simply ⟨c⟩ or, more rarely ⟨q⟩, with the context resolving any ambiguities.
